Here, I was assigned by the teacher to use the Jane Schaffer Paragraph Template, that is composed of five sentences, which are: topic sentence, concrete detail, commentary, and concluding/closing sentence, to write an essay of the three chosen documentaries that we watched in class. I chose I Am, Happy, and The Human Experience to talk about in the essay because they gave me the best impression out of the five. These documentaries are films that talk about the world's most complex problems that can be solved by the simplest actions which can start now. They explore the nature of humanity, world's ever growing addiction to materialism, as well as human happiness through interviewing people from 14 different countries, and search for answers to the question, "What does it mean to be human? What is wrong with the world?"
I didn't view this assignment as just an essay. It gave me the moral support that helped me view the world differently, in a very positive way. After watching the films, I became more appreciative towards the compliments, the things I possess, and the friends and the families I have because there are thousands of hundreds of people whoare suffering from financial crisis and an insanitary environment, but they are happier than someone who owns a billion dollar property, a well hand-crafted Rolls Royce, and a net worth over billion dollars. Every piece of the film was meaningful to me because it chagned my perspective of the world in a more optimistic and postiive way; it motivated me to have a similar mindset as them.
Like I said earlier, although this Jane Schaffer Paragraph Template set a basic foundation for me to write an essay well, the documentaries were more important to me. I've learned that people face difficulties that are greater than mine, but they are much happier than me, multi-millionaires, and the people who possess almost everything they don't. I should be just as thankful as they are now before I live with an unfulfilled life.

On this assignment, I have taken ten ideas from one of the movies I watched in the class called Happy. I listed out the ten ideas as well as a paragraph of a reflection at the end. For instance, one of the ideas taken from the movie was, "We are like tiny drops of water. If we can't get together to change the world, we will not be strong enough to individually change."
This assignment was important to me because it helped me find the right ideas that helped me change the view of the world. Even being able to remember one idea such as the one I listed above encourages me to really get together with people to create teamwork and change simultaneously.
The cool thing about this assignment is that every piece of the ideas taken from the movie had an impact on me. The words were so powerful to me that I'm thankful to Ms. Sutton for having her students do this to bring back beautiful memories and work of art. After studying and observing rich and poor people, I have learned that money does not buy happiness. Each class in the society holds the same amount of happiness. In fact majority of the rich people live with no elation because they only place their focus on money and their jobs, whereas, the people who are less fortunate have so many things to be thankful for. I appreciate Ms. Sutton for such an amazing class. She has taught me what is called Happiness.
